The Mississippi Geospatial Clearinghouse (MGC) provides access to a comprehensive spatial information warehouse of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) resources of Mississippi for use by government, academia, and the private sector.

The goal of the MGC is to make the application of spatial information technologies within the State of Mississippi more efficient by reducing the duplication of spatial data production and enhancing distribution through effective cooperation, standardization, communication, and coordination.

  • 3/14/13 - A meeting of the Mississippi Coordinating Council for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2013. The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Classroom 110-A at the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) in Pearl MS.
  • 10/25/12 - MDEM Hinds County LIDAR is now available on the Elevation Download page.
  • The 2012 Coastal Imagery (pre-Isaac) has been delivered and is now available here in MrSID format.
  • BP has created several map and image services for coastal Mississippi from imagery collected in 2010 and 2011 following the oil spill. These services and other related resources are available here.
